I started running like two years ago. With losing weight as my main reason. There was a time that my jeans and shirts won't fit anymore. It feels like wearing shirts that shrunk on the dryer. By the time I got back to my original weight, I've been running 2-3 times a week already and it became a lifestyle. Doing exercise and eating right.
This year my goal is to run a half marathon. I've been doing 5 and 10k last year, I feel like I need to step up my game I need to challenge myself. In order for me to have a regular training I joined the DTLA Running Group. We meet 3 times a weeks to run around downtown.
The group really helped me achieved my goal. Last May I was able to finish my 1st Half Marathon faster than my expected time and speed.
Today I'm training again with the group for my 2nd Half Marathon on October for the Long Beach Marathon. Last year I did 5k for this race, next year my goal is to run the Full Marathon.
